Presidents day was originally called washington's birthday. Now viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present. The purpose of presidents day is to remember all those who served as President of the United States. For 2016 president's day is on monday, february 15. presidents day is an important day for everyone to celebrate because it was both president george washington's and abraham lincoln's birthday.
